Br Peter Bray – Bethlehem University: A beacon of hope

Brother Peter Bray FSC is the New Zealand born Vice-Chancellor of Bethlehem University in Palestine. In this video from Sydney’s Broken Bay Institute, Br Peter provides a historical overview of the occupation of Palestine; the origins and role of Bethlehem University; and the impact of Israel’s occupation on students.

Bethlehem University is a ‘beacon of hope in the Holy Land’ where 75% of the students at the University are female and 70% are Muslim. These Christian and Muslim students (together with the University staff) strive to live out their life’s potential, despite occupation by Israel.
